Uke at the Duke started in January 2011 in response to a request to run an evening jam. The Worthing jam known as Wukulele was our model and we remain close to our sister jam which is a Sunday lunchtime event. Many ukulele players attend both jams.
Uke at the Duke has its own songbooks and invites players to submit their favourites for inclusion, songs range from traditional to punk classics, there are even a few originals.
The jam meets at “The Duke of Wellington”, Brighton Road, Shoreham, BN43 6RE on the second Tuesday of each month 7.30pm till 9.30pm.
Occasional away fixtures are played in local pubs and festivals and many groups have formed out of the jam.
All abilities are welcome. Just come along, or if you want more information email email@example.com
Follow us on Facebook: www.facebook.com/groups/102910793112269/
Jams are led by many players and are an independent non-profit collective. There is no charge for attending our jams and no formalities, just turn up and play with us.

We will be using books 6, 9 and 12.
But before that of course we have the Festival warm up night at the Welly and the main Festival at the Ropetackle.
Tickets and workshop bookings are going well, so if you need to get a ticket please contact The Ropetackle box office online, by phone or in person.
Workshops can be booked via firstname.lastname@example.org
Times of what's happening can be found here.
Just a couple of things to update at this stage. First update is a slight change to Jess Vincent’s workshop which is now called "Improve your playing through song writing." Don’t worry about having to write the next big hit, Jess will lead you through the process and you will still hopefully improve your playing.
Second update is that due to a serious illness Folk Uke will not now be playing however we have a fine replacement in “The Roots Ukulele Band” who will perform a selection of original and cover songs.
See you at one, two or all three events.
