Mini Jam on the fourth Tuesday of each month 7.30pm till 9.30pm
Beginners welcome at both jams.
Uke at the Duke started in January 2011 in response to a request to run an evening jam. The Worthing jam known as Wukulele was our model and we remain close to our sister jam which is a Sunday lunchtime event. Many ukulele players attend both jams.
Uke at the Duke has its own songbooks and invites players to submit their favourites for inclusion, songs range from traditional to punk classics, there are even a few originals.
The jam meets at “The Sussex Yacht Club”, 85/89 Brighton Road, Shoreham-by-Sea, BN43 6RF on the second Tuesday of each month 7.30pm till 9.30pm.
There is a mini jam on the fourth Tuesday of each month at the same time and venue.
Occasional away fixtures are played in local venues and the jam organises its own festival in September of each year at The Ropetackle Arts Centre. Many groups have formed out of the jam.
All abilities are welcome. Just come along, or if you want more information email email@example.com

Jams are led by many players and are an independent non-profit collective. There is no charge for attending our jams and no formalities, just turn up and play with us.

We will be using books 5, 8 and 11. As it is the day before Valentines I will try and pick out the romantic songs, but as usual please feel free to shout out your requests. Book 11 makes another appearance which makes it the most used book this year!!!!
Our new name will be Quayside Ukes. This should be available on all media platforms and is generic enough to be moved whilst still identifying with the local area. Thanks for all your suggestions, it was great fun looking through them and I hope you like this one, or can at least put up with it. It will lend itself well to logos and I hope we will be able to move the email address and other stuff over as soon as possible.
Uke Camp will be on 15th to 17th June
Last year we had a jam on Friday night and Saturday night and an open mic on Saturday afternoon. Jo Hockley is organising, so see her to book your place and let's hope we have a repeat of last year's weather.
Finally book 15 is just a meeting away, it has been a year since we had a new book and this one has a great mix of challenging and easy songs, more later.
See you next Tuesday

Happy New Year to all Ukers
I hope you enjoy your music in 2018
We will be kicking off 2018 using books 2, 11 and 12.
Book 15 is on its way, but if you have any last-minute requests please send them to Pete or me very quickly - you won't have to lead them when they're performed, but if you want to then that is great as well.
Planning for the festival is under way and I hope to have some more news for that soon. As usual we're looking for sponsors first, so if you are working with anyone who may like to help please let me know.
Looking forward to seeing you on the 9th.
NB We have a new index to all our current songs, the download link is below the songbook links.
